K-Chicken Goes Global with Kyochon
Kyochon F&B, the operator behind the beloved Kyochon Chicken, is ramping up its efforts to globalize Korean cuisine through its innovative program, ‘Kyochon 1991 School.’ Launched recently, this initiative allows participants to immerse themselves in the entire journey of Kyochon Chicken—from preparation to packaging. Initially created for training franchisees and employees, the program has now broadened its outreach to include general consumers and international tourists, showcasing K-chicken on a global stage.

A Unique Culinary Experience
In two recent events, Kyochon 1991 School invited diverse groups—approximately 30 tourists from Europe and North America in May, followed by 10 influencers from the Philippines in June, in collaboration with the Korean Tourism Organization. These sessions took place at the Kyochon Education and R&D Center in Osan, where participants gained an understanding of the brand’s philosophy along with hands-on cooking practices. Attendees learned the unique cooking methods, such as double frying and the meticulous application of multiple layers of sauces, which are central to Kyochon’s signature taste.
Pairing Tradition with Innovation
The experience was elevated further with a tasting session featuring Kyochon Chicken paired with traditional Korean makgeolli from the fermentation workshop ‘Balhyo Gongbang 1991’ and craft beer from ‘Moon Bear.’ This fusion of traditional drinks and chicken prompted positive reactions, highlighting the creative potential in combining Korean gastronomy with global dining trends.
Commitment to Cultural Expansion
A Kyochon representative expressed that it was a meaningful time for global customers to experience the brand’s philosophy and the essence of K-chicken culture. The company is determined to continue expanding the horizons of Korean cuisine worldwide, thus keeping pace with the growing interest in Korean food culture. Through such interactive experiences, Kyochon truly embodies its mission to advance the global appreciation of K-food, inviting everyone to enjoy a taste of Korea.
