Celebrating Lee Byung-hun at BIFAN 2023
The 29th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) commenced on July 3, 2023, with the esteemed actor Lee Byung-hun as the highlight of the event’s special section. Titled “The Master: Lee Byung-hun,” this program invites film enthusiasts to dive deep into the diverse world of this remarkable actor. Lee’s presence at the festival promises a rich experience, beginning with a red carpet appearance on the opening day, followed by nearly a week’s worth of screenings, press conferences, mega talks, and audience engagement events.

From July 4 to July 13, festival-goers will have the opportunity to witness ten selected masterpieces that paved the way for Lee Byung-hun’s illustrious career spanning over 30 years. Some of the highlights include powerful performances in “Joint Security Area” (2000) and “The Good, the Bad, and the Weird” (2008).
