Celebrating K-Beauty at KCON LA 2025

CJ Olive Young recently concluded an impressive chapter at the renowned K-POP festival, ‘KCON LA 2025’. This landmark event took place from August 1 to 3 at the Crypto.com Arena and LA Convention Center in Los Angeles. Embracing the vibrancy of K-Beauty, the booth, spanning 430 square meters, stood as the largest display dedicated to showcasing Korean beauty products at the festival’s history.

A Vibrant Showcase of K-Beauty

The Olive Young booth featured a diverse array of 66 brands and 164 products, providing festival-goers with an immersive experience of K-Beauty’s excellence. With over 125,000 attendees over the three days, a staggering 36,000 visitors made their way to the booth, driven by the ever-growing global fascination with K-Beauty. The booth was a hub of engagement, illustrating the uniqueness of Korean beauty practices and products.

Discovering the 4-Step Skincare Routine

One of the highlights was the ‘4-Step Skincare Routine Zone’, designed to portray the preferred skincare practices of Koreans. Visitors could explore over 40 carefully curated K-Beauty products that exemplified the country’s skincare diversity, including essences, serums, sun care, and creams. This section offered a comprehensive display that emphasized both the variety and effectiveness of K-Beauty formulations, making it easy for attendees to grasp the intricacies of the Korean skincare regime.

Interactive Experience with Sun Care

Particularly popular was the sun care section, where an innovative ‘UV Protection Measuring Device’ allowed attendees to experience K-Suncare benefits first-hand. The booth also introduced a ‘Skin Scan’ service for the first time at KCON, enabling visitors to receive personalized skin analysis and product recommendations that resonated well with the audience.

Skincare Starter Kits for Hands-On Learning

To enhance the learning experience, Olive Young presented Skincare Starter Kits featuring flagship products from brands like Dr. Elsia and Mediheal. This initiative allowed attendees to test products directly, making the world of K-Beauty more accessible and appealing. One attendee, Sienna Vale, 21, expressed her excitement: “As a K-Pop fan, I was always curious about K-Beauty but struggled with selecting trending products. The event allowed me to compare brands and understand K-Beauty better than I expected.”

Supporting Global Entry for Korean Brands

At the heart of the event, Olive Young further solidified its role as a platform for global outreach for Korean brands. In collaboration with the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, they spotlighted 34 products from 30 emerging K-Beauty brands under the ‘K-Super Rookie with Young’ initiative. This effort aims to provide invaluable exposure for brands that are navigating international markets, enabling them to engage with global buyers and local audiences.

Highlighting Exclusive Products

Olive Young also showcased its own brand products at a dedicated experiential booth. Brands like BioHealBo and Bring Green presented slow aging and trouble care solutions, while Colorgram attracted the Gen-Z demographic with its unique packaging and events inspired by an art studio, emphasizing affordability and creativity.

Olive Young’s Vision for K-Beauty

An Olive Young representative stated, “KCON LA 2025 was a significant opportunity to introduce our brand in the U.S. and showcase the competitive edge of K-Beauty products alongside our partner brands.” The company is committed to continuing its role as a leading platform in K-Beauty, promoting its presence in the global market while celebrating the rich heritage and innovation of Korean beauty.
